Everything you need to know about Nooze before launch day.

Nooze is a smart alarm clock and sleep tracker for Android. It monitors your sleep cycles using your phone's motion and microphone (plus wearable data when available), wakes you during light sleep for a more refreshed start, and gamifies your morning with XP, levels, achievements and friendly duels — minus a snooze button.

Android only at launch. Nooze is built natively for Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose) and integrates with Health Connect, the OS-level hub that exposes wearable data from Fitbit, Garmin, Oura, Whoop, Samsung Health and others. iOS is not on the roadmap right now.

You pick a smart wake window of 15, 20 or 30 minutes per alarm. Inside that window Nooze checks recent sleep stage data — fused from your phone's motion, ambient sound and any connected wearable — and fires the alarm as soon as you're already in Light or REM sleep. If you stay deep, the alarm just rings at its original time.

All core features are free: unlimited alarms, smart wake, sleep tracking, gamification, social features, 6 themes and cloud sync. Nooze Premium (€2.99/month or €14.99/year — saves about 58%) unlocks sleep aids, smart-home triggers, advanced analytics, 6 animated themes, premium backgrounds and exclusive titles & badges.

By design. Hitting snooze fragments your sleep and trains the brain to dread mornings. Instead, Nooze offers seven wake challenges — math, memory, shake, typing, QR scan, photo capture and NFC scan — with anagram on the way. Three difficulty levels. The alarm only stops when you finish one. The harder you finish, the more XP. The brand name itself is a play on the word.

Yes. Place your phone near the bed and Nooze runs an overnight tracking session, sampling motion, sound and (if you wear one) heart-rate data every 30 seconds. It distinguishes Awake, Light, Deep and REM stages, and produces a quality score, cycle count and wake-ease rating for the morning. There's also a shared-bed mode that ignores your partner's movement and a wearable-only mode if you trust your watch over the phone.

Nooze plugs into Android Health Connect, which aggregates data from compatible wearables and fitness apps — Fitbit, Samsung Health, Google Fit, Garmin, Oura, Whoop and more. From there Nooze can read sleep stages, heart rate and SpO₂. If a device or app supports Health Connect, it works with Nooze.

Every wake earns XP — 10 base, plus bonuses for finishing a challenge, finishing it fast, or nailing a perfect wake (up to 50 max). Journal entries give 3 XP. Each daily streak day adds 5 XP. Achievements grant 50 XP, and winning a wake duel adds 100 XP. XP fuels levels, unlocks titles and badges, and feeds your friends’ activity feed.

Yes. Sign in with Google or email and your alarms, profile, gamification, friends and feed sync across your Android devices. Raw biometrics (the half-minute sleep samples, snore clips, heart-rate readings) stay on each device — only summary stats sync. The app also works fully offline; it syncs when you're back online.

Yes. Local data is encrypted at rest. Sleep biometrics, snore recordings and journal notes stay on your device. Cloud sync is opt-in and only carries the minimum needed for cross-device continuity (alarms, achievements, friends). We never sell data, and you can delete everything from settings.

Yes (Premium). Nooze integrates with Home Assistant and generic webhooks. Trigger lights, blinds, kettles or any other device when your alarm fires — or set up a gradual lighting scene that ramps up alongside the volume.
